So, as some of you may have been scared off by the Day 1 pic, today I'm just going to do a little explanation and some pimping.

When I found out about Movember, I was intrigued by the method at which they campaigned. As a facial hair grower, it was something I could get behind (far easier than walking, running, or biking!). So I quickly signed up and had help recruiting for the team. It occurred to me last night, though, that I hadn't really set a goal for myself. <em>Why</em> was I doing this? What was I shooting for? Well, being the first year of me trying to raise money for any cause, I have decided to set what I believe to be a modest and reachable goal. I'd like to raise $100 personally for the team. I think there are strong players on the team that could easily surpass this goal, but I'm not as clever. I'm not good at asking people for money. Hell, <strong>I</strong> struggling with money and know most people are as well. What I'm hoping for though, is that by dragging you guys into this, I can get as much pimpage to the cause as humanly possible. That's what social networking is for, right? If people can donate, fantastic! But if they're willing to pass along the message, I think that's even better. So, that's what I'm calling on you guys for. Look, I found something under my beard!

It’s Movember, the month formerly known as November, which is dedicated to growing moustaches and raising awareness and funds for men’s health. I have joined the movement and will be donating my upper lip to the cause for 30 days. My moustache (Mo) will spark conversations, and no doubt generate some laughs; all in the name of raising vital awareness and funds for cancers affecting men.
